Do AP Credits count for the required courses for medical school? Like if you took AP Bio you don't have to take bio in college or do you have to? Also for the combined medical programs do you get to skip the required bio, chem classes or take them or take a higher level or what? Help plez.

Using AP credits for med school requirements doesn't fly. I've filled out several secondary applications where the schools specifically ask for the names of the courses you took to satisfy their requirements, as well as when you took them and what grade you received. Obviously, AP credits just won't do.

I don't know that it's obvious, but shades is correct for most/many schools. Some schools will accept AP credit, but they're the exception rather than the rule. A complete list cannot be obtained online (not that I've found, anyway).

You can use them to opt out of lower div classes and into higher div ones. At my school, that's a nice way to avoid the intro classes, which often have moderately difficult curves.

I mean "obviously" as in "thus, from what I've told you, it's clear that..." :)

Opting into higher level courses is something for people to consider, but I'll say that AP courses wouldn't have prepared me for Orgo or Molecular Cell Biology. Granted, it might be different for other schools.
