So...

They're are no honor courses at my school due to the fact that every class claims to be 'honors' due to rigourous nature of my school (Private).

Although I am taking 4 grade 11 courses and I am only entering my sophmore year.

Does it count?

"They are are no honor"

Do you have any idea how bad that sounds?

There are no honor courses is the correct way to write it for one thing.

AP courses tend to be more difficult than honors usually and are very rigorous(assuming you go to a decent school).

I have no idea what 4 grade 11 courses are. Is that suppose to be a type of difficulty or courses that aren't generally taken by your peers till 11th grade?

A lot of people here love to finish up with AP Calculus BC which is 2-3yrs ahead of some schools. Always take the hardest schedule possible(if you can do well at that level) if you want to attend a top university.

Hey! I'm a recent High school student who has absolutely no idea what the hell Advanced Placement courses are worth to students wishing to attend a good university (ie: Sarah Lawrence, Northwestern, DREAM Yale). I've searched and searched the Internet and have found the same yada-yada-yada on them as being impecably important but since I will have to self study all of the APs I chose I'm wondering, what is all the hubub about.

For Uni I wish to study either Poli Sci, journalism, creative writing or Comparitive Lit.

My APs so far: English, Euro History, Enviro Svi...I don't know what else

Also is such a thing as online course and if so what is the cost as I am a little well...broke.

Thanks a bunch!

Yes, there are online courses for most states. I plan to take 1 AP course throughout the year online for next year.

They are important because universities like students who take difficult courses and excel in them. AP and IB courses are considered the hardest possible courses for a high school student.
