Is Harvard going to rescind admission for AP scores? I'm taking 5 AP test this year. I'm still going to pass, just not with 5's in everything...

On that note, do we have to report our scores in the first place? I am not considering Advanced Standing.

Nah, by the time they get your scores, it'll be July and you'll be on the enrollment list. Technically, I don't think they're really supposed to use AP scores for admissions, anyway.

I'd report them. Sometimes you can get into higher courses with proof that you're competent in the field. I was talking to a computer science professor, and he said that my score on the AP CS exam might let me into Computer Science 51 instead of the regular 50 intro course. (Yeah, the course book says different, but apparently professors aren't as strict as the book.)

Also, just as a note about pre-reqs, I've never actually found a class that held its students to the pre-reqs. They're there for a reason (aka, you're going to need to work a LOT harder if your not properly prepared) but if you're willing to put yourself through it then most professors will allow you. In fact, I've never even bother talking to the professors about it, I just explain the situation to my advisor and he signs my card. The professor never even knows I didn't take Psych 1, Math 21a, or whatever the prereq might be.

My son is about to take his AP's also and is a bit worried about possibly not getting all 5's (he's scored "5" on all 8 AP's so far) this time around, he's taking 5 this year. He thought Harvard might not look favorably at this.
