Apush 2008

that was the most difficult AP test ive ever taken. period.
10 random guys/gals ive NEVER EVER EVER heard of, some counterintuitive cartoons, the ONE court case that i didn't study, and the worst possible essays, EVER.
thats just me though, i guess it depends on how much u studied, which of course i did very little.

i'm pretty sure i got a 5 :/

the MC wasn't bad (i didn't get more than 9 wrong i don't think), the dbq i thought was easy (although i'm not sure how much emphasis they put on a good thesis, as the question didn't really lend itself to a good thesis), and the FRQs were moderate (i did 2 and 4; 2 was a bit tough, but 4 i thought wasn't too tough).

I know that I got a 3 or above, but I most likely got a 4. It really depends on whether I did well on the MC. If I did well on the MC, then I probably got a 5.

i did 3 and 5

north + south market revolutions and 1928-1948 shift in politcal parties

I think i passed with a 3/4 (hopefully)

Oh yea, i wrote my essays in pencil on accident :X

3 and 4-they were better than my DBQ which had no outside info oops

i thought the multiple choice was moderate, i wasn't positive on 17 of them but i already know that i made the right choice on at least 5 of those. my dbq was very good, my essay for number 2 was pretty good, and my essay for number 5 was pretty crappy lol

I left 6 MC blank and missed probably 3-4 others. I thought the DBQ was REALLY easy (but we just covered that era very recently), and the FRQs were moderately difficult.

Question, though: I won't lose points for crossing out parts of my essays, will I?

star_s: no, you won't lose points. you shouldve seen how much I crossed out, haha.

i thought MC was okay. i skipped a lot though, but i heard if you get over 50% you can still get a 3/4 depending on your essays.

DBQ was NOT good, since I barely (if any at all) studied that later time period - -x

FRQs were okay.. i did 2 and 4. i messed up on 2 though.. got the countries mixed up for one of them :X
would that be a 'major' error if everything else was right?

Does anyone know what kind of scores you need to attain in order to lock up the 5? In terms of multiple choice correct, and essay scores on the 1-9 scale?

"i wrote my essays in pencil on accident"

That really sux. They give it a 0 if it's in pencil

sushi: Thanks, it's nice to not have to worry about that!

Eli: My teacher has been telling his classes all year that the average score on the MC section is 60% correct.

According to the College Board website, you can get 2/3 of the possible composite score and get a 5, but it doesn't detail how that composite score is figured.

..why doesn't everyone realize that AP tests are a joke. You only need 55% of possible points on history exams to get a 5 and 60% on Calc, the numbers fluctuate up and down by maybe 2% depending on the national outcomes. They don't expect you to get nearly everything.

On subject:I thought the MC was ok, the cartoons were easy to figure out even though Ive never seen them before. The DBQ was easy, Vietnam war is a newer subject. FRQ, the new south one was really easy, all you have to say is nothing changed because most just changed the word slave to freedman and alot of confederate leaders were pardoned and returned to office. The the market economy one was about how after Eli Whitney's inventions, cottin gin, interchangable parts etc, the economy began to favor those who specialize. As a result, the North and South began to depend upon each other. But South was still behind since NE doesnt have to worry about overproduction and have other sources of imports.

SilverDragon, ARE YOU FLIPPING SERIOUS? I TALKED TO MY COUNSELOR AND SHE WAS LIKE BLAHBLAHBLAH WE CANT DO ANYTHING! I AM SERIOUSLY ****SSED OFF!

Wow...they better not give it a 0. I saw many people writing in pencil

well. My AP us history teacher who graded essays for the past like 10 years told us to not write in pencil. He told us that like a gazillon times.

Basically, according to him, graders give a 0 to anything not written in pen. Sorry. Maybe they changed the rules?

Your school has an AP coordinator. Talk to him/her and fill out an irregularity report, k?

^In response to guy/gal with pencil.

yea, i talked to her, she was like blahnothingblah

silverdragon: dude! that's HARSH

I know. But i guess it's also your own fault since the proctor SHOULD specifically specify USE PENS

if they dont that sux doesn't it =[
haha good thing i did! >.<
