Hello, I am deciding on whether I should changemy major to Aquatic Biology or Pharmacology. Changing major is simple as I just have to send the admission office an E-mail. How are the job prospects for both for people like me who Isn't going to grad school or Pharmacy school? If I can get a job and work my way up right after college with this majors despite living with less than 60000 income, I think it'd be ok but is it easy to get a job? What Kind of work do they do very specifically? Do you think I should change it to mathematical science instead of these 2 majors? Job prospects are important to me as I have to pay all my loans. Oh and the school I'm considering is UCSB which is well known for both majors. Any inputs will be greatly appreciated!!

Neither of those will give you great job prospects without going to graduate or professional school, and you will certainly not be making anything close to 60,000/year. For the most part, you’ll be limited to lab tech/research tech/pharm tech jobs–probably not something you want to be stuck in for the rest of your life. The exception with the pharmacology degree is that you could potentially work as a pharmaceutical sales rep, which tends to be a good job with good pay.

If I were to double major with mathematical science, would that help? What can I do if I double major with it or set aquatic biology as a minor rather than double major? Working for environmental company sounds awesome
