Arabic 10 over the summer

10 units. 25 hours a week in an 8-week session. I know it's going to be intense, but I'm pretty good at picking up languages and am willing to put in the the effort.

However, is this class geared toward beginners or like heritage speakers (ie: people who grew up in an Arabic-speaking household but may not know how to write/read, etc)? I know the alphabet and can say a few key phrases, but I'm a beginner in every aspect of the word.

Thanks!

I’ve heard that the intensives are pretty terrible… And Arabic isn’t a language you want to rush… But if you have to take it, go for it. It’s meant for beginners (not native speakers), so you won’t be at a disadvantage. From what I know, it goes through the same material/book as 1A/1B, just much faster. Knowing the alphabet already puts you a good week or two ahead of everyone else. :p
