My daughter is planning on going to the University of Edinburgh for the Spring 2010 semester. She has information from both Arcadia and Butler programs. They appear pretty comparable. Are there people on this thread who have knowledge with either of these? All information about the programs (and Edinburgh) would be appreciated.

My daughter did a semester in London through the Arcadia program. In addition to being well organized and easy to deal with administratively, they were very helpful when she became ill. This was at the very start of the program, before everyone had a chance to get to know one another and bond. They helped her get to a hospital and to be seen by an MD.
Fortunately I was traveling in the area and was able to get there quickly.
She missed a few of the opening activities, but recovered quickly and had a memorable, very positive semester.

Hop, thanks so much.

Which program provids more activities with other study abroad students

I went to Edinburgh through Butler in Spring '09. I thought Butler did a really excellent job overall, i’d be happy to answer any questions.
