Architecture in Community College?

I got accepted into Architectural Technology at a SUNY school but cannot afford to go to it so I want to go to a community college first so that I can put my gpa up and then transfer to Cornell, or Buffalo or Syracuse you know THOSE TOP SCHOOLS. So can anyone list schools that have an Arch program in it for direct admission or even if it it isnt direct please just list them.I heard City Tech in downtown Brooklyn is good to start off and then transfer. I am in NYC btw.

Generally you go into the CC for an Associates of Art or Science. Look at the schools you want to transfer to, if they offer a Bachelors of Arts in Architecture take the Associates of Arts program at CC, likewise if it is a Bachelors of Science in Architecture take the Associates of Science program at CC. The difference between the two is that Arts has more humanities courses and Science has more math and science courses.

Some schools will allow you to take an Associates of Architecture (a vocational/applied science degree) than transfer it into a University, but I wouldn’t count on that unless the school you transfer to has it advertised on their website.
