Hi,
So I plan to pursue architecture in college. I’m going to submit an art supplement, and I was wondering if I should include architectural models/drawings in my portfolio, or if only fine art examples would be prefered instead? I’ve heard mixed answers to this question from various sources…so I’m not sure?
I think it depends on the school. Some have somewhat rigid criteria for their arts supplements; others are much more open. In my opinion it does make sense for you to include it since you plan to pursue architecture, but it’s probably going to be on a case-by-case basis. If you cannot find clear direction on the college’s website regarding their arts supplement, I would call or email the admissions office and/or the art department, and ask them directly. Good luck!
