How is architecture here? Is it easier to get in than UIUC from NYC?

i would like to know also.

Does anyone know this?

I haven't heard much about architecture here, but I know one of my friends is majoring in it down in Oregon. I think at the University of Oregon. My sister also looked into it and found Cal Poly had a good program. Sorry, I can't help with info about UW though...

I can't speak for the quality of the program, but it was quite amusing a couple of weeks ago when masses of architecture student were set loose in Suzzallo Library to do drawings of the various wonderful architectural details. Almost like an infestation of cockroaches, they were piled up in the stairwells, clustered in the lobby, shivering outside in the wind . . . hard to get around without stepping on a few!

I do know that architecture at any of the major universities is very competitive to get into and usually is a 5 year program.

What kind of program does UW offer? I looked all over their website and all I can find is that you can apply to arch for Junior year?

its 4 years. but i dunno whether it is good or not... i would like to know about it especially compare to UIUC also..
