<p>I am an American student who is thinking about applying to Oxford and/or Cambridge (Chemistry Course).</p>
<p>I have taken Mathematics Level 2 and Chemistry and received 800s on both, but I am wondering if it would be beneficial or necessary to take more SAT IIs.</p>
<p>Are you American? Have you taken any APs? Oxbridge prefers APs but will take SATII’s sometimes.</p>
<p>For Cambridge at least you need at least 5 APs in related subjects…that would mean Chem, Math (probably Calc BC), Psychics, Bio, maybe Stats (a few of these could be replaced with not so related ones but you’ll still need five 5’s). </p>

<p>I am a US permanent resident who has taken and received 5s on 11 AP tests, including Chemistry, Calculus BC, and both Physics C tests, so I have the required AP scores.</p>

<p>You can only apply to Oxford OR Cambridge.</p>
<p>AP scores are more important than SATIIs, and between the APs and SAT IIs you already have you are in great shape. Good luck :-)</p>
<p>Yup you’re right on for an interview. Make sure that your personal statement is ENTIRELY focused on you as a chemistry student/scientist. Only include ECs if they’re relevant to science, don’t make yourself seem well rounded, you want to be as focused as possible. </p>
<p>And if you’re trying to work out which to apply to, Cambridge is stronger for chem.</p>
<p>5s on 11 AP tests is incredible. (that’s “eleven” AP tests, right? Not some sort of Roman Numerals!) This will get you an interview at Oxbridge. Don’t worry about SAT Subject tests. Focus now on your personal statement and interview.</p>
