Are 4 Recommendations too many?

<p>I will have one good teacher recommendation, one descent teacher recommendation, one excellent volunteering recommendation, and one excellent swimming recommendation. </p>

<p>Is it necessary to have 2 teacher recommendations if my volunteering/swimming ones will be better?</p>

<p>Will my volunteering/swimming ones make up for my not so great teacher rec's?</p>

<p>How many is too many?</p>

<p>Most schools will require 2 teacher letters of recommendation, anyway. I think the other 2 may be too many, but a lot of people on this forum do send extras. Maybe choose one of them</p>

<p>If it was me, I would send the great teacher one and one of the volunteering/swimming. For what it’s worth :)</p>

<p>some schools require recs from two core teachers. be sure to send both your teacher recs if that’s what they ask for. </p>

<p>It’s ok to send more info beyond whatever they request so long as it says something important about you that isn’t described in other places on your app. But be careful about sending too much. at some point the reader will just quit reading.</p>
