On the status check website, it says “The Office of Admissions has completed a preliminary review of your application for admission.” and all four boxes say yes, plus my ACT score was received. I honestly can’t remember when I applied, so it could have been before or after November 1st. Does this mean that I have a priority application? (On the bottom of the page it says “If your file is complete, your decision will be available the second Friday in February after 6:00 pm.”) Or could it also mean if I applied, say, November 2nd, that they would just put my application in with the others?
Hey there ChrisF. I wish I could say the same about my profile! I’ve no fingernails left from all the anxiety D:
In general, yes, February 14-15th’s decisions are for “priority admissions”. If you do not remember the date that you applied, you could always check your email- the confirmation is bound to be in there somewhere. Alternatively you could go to your GatorLink Account Status in your my.UF page. There you’ll see “Last Password Change”. The date beside it should be when your profile was created (though I’m not entirely sure if it corresponds to when the app fee was paid, which is the important part ^^) In any case, seeing as though your application has already been reviewed, I would safely say it was submitted before the deadline and you’ve got no reason to worry about it. Good luck to us!
I didn’t pay until after November 1st (I paid the day I finished the application) , but I started much earlier, including sending in my ACT in October. I’m assuming my decision was easy to make if it will be out so quick.
Hey Chris, I just logged onto my account again and saw that I had the same message: " The Office of Admissions has completed a preliminary review of your application for admission." I believe that message is merely to confirm that they received it and verified if you paid, etc.
If you paid after Nov. 1st then I’m afraid you might have fallen into the next tier of candidates, but I don’t want to burst any bubbles or anything like that. If you want a final word, then I suggest calling their offices tomorrow. Their number is 352-392-1365 .
I had a similar problem, but it was with my transcripts. The deadline was November 31st, but due to how slow things move here in Brazil, my transcripts would only arrive in mid-December, AT LEAST xD… They said it wasn’t much of a problem, and I would still be considered. Check with them, perhaps you’ll be surprised? Good luck man.
Thanks. It’s not my top pick, but I’d be really happy if I got in. Good luck to you too man.
