driving to school the first day of freshman year and the first day of senior year
one of my hobbies is riding my bike, so telling a story of riding my bike and what I see and think
playing cards or board games with my family
every year I have thanksgiving with my cousins who all have allergies so maybe talk about how that made me interested
in food science
I am planning to major in engineering or food science, but I can’t come up with any ideas relating to it.
Please help!

Any topic can be the basis of a good or a bad essay-- what matters is what you do with it.
Don’t sweat relating your essay to your major, that’s not the point.
The point is to show the reader a side of you that they’re not getting from your statistics.
Why not outline each of your possible topics, and see which ones look most promising?
I agree, any of them can be interesting. Just make sure they are about who you are as a person. Flesh the ideas out and see where they take you.
Any of these are great as long as you talk about how they shaped you. Heavenly Essays actually has plenty of examples of slice of life essays where you can learn about the writer through short experiences.
