Say a school requires you to submit scores from three subject tests. Can you use Biology E as one and Biology M as another? They are different test names I guess =/

Also, is it possible to change from registered SAT subject tests to the SAT reasoning test this late?

Thank you very much for any help in advance.

they are not separate. even though they are. LOL. Meaning, if you take both, the unis will look at the best one, but you won't satisfy the required 2 or 3 SAT II's with both from bio

You need to take in different subject area, like history and world history is consider subject area history, biology, chemistry, physics is considered subject area science, language, literature, etc.. is considered another subject area, and math is another subject area.
So the answer to your question, eventhough E and M maybe 2 different tests but it won't do you any good because they are not different subject area.

Umm...no. You could take bio, chem, and physics. You don't have to take different subject areas. Likewise, you could take US and World history and count them separately.

Certain programs/colleges though require SPECIFIC subject tests.

I think from a UC website I read it suggests in different area, ie not to take bio and chem because they are both science.

Here from the UC website:

Two SAT Subject Tests.
These must be in two different areas, chosen from the following: English, history and social studies, mathematics (Level 2 only), science or language other than English.
