Hello all. Just for looking for a bit of information on the particular topic. When it comes to transfers, I have been told that GPA and courseload are of the most importance. Others have told me that test scores matter to a minuscule level, while EC's are still considered.

So, are EC's a considerable factor in an application when one is trying to transfer? If so, should one focus on EC's that show an interest towards their major, or should they just participate in what interests them? Can research/working with professors and/or research groups count as EC's?

I ask because finding EC's was a major challenge in my HS. In one of the most underfunded and under-performing (academically) high schools in the state of CA (and maybe the country), EC's never went beyond a local level, in the case that one could find something. Suddenly being in a school with access to all kinds of groups and activites has proven to be overwhelming, to say the least.
