are good essays liked by everyone?

I'm having problems determining whether my essays are good or not. I already submitted them so I can't do anything about them.

It's just that people reacted to my essays so differently. I asked at least more than 10 people to read them. Some said, "They're amazing! Excellent!" Some said, "Superficial" and told me different ways of revising them.

So what determines a good essay? Does it have to get everyone's approval to be considered a great essay? CONFUSED!

No it doesn't have to gain everyone's approval.

Asking more than 3 persons can be overload - your original voice gets lost amidst the revisions and criticisms.

just hope ur adcoms like it, thats wat really matters,

No. I asked these 10 people AFTER I submitted my essay. I only had four readers before I submitted it. Only two suggested revisions.

Um... was it bad if I wrote it the day it was due and didn't have anyone look it over?

well, slo, if you just let people read wha tyou submitted, it'll give you an idea, but not accurate one.
