My D is considering the speech pathology program where she would be at IC for 6 years. Is there enough going on there to keep her happy/interested for that many years? Do the kids visit Cornel parties and do the 2 schools interact?

I have two kids at Cornell and I have asked my kids this question more than once. Ithaca kids can not attend Cornell frat parties because Cornell I.D is required to gain admission. My kids have not personally come across Ithaca kids and Cornell kids socializing which I guess makes sence if the parties have required I.D.

Is your daughter the outdoor type? Would she enjoy the beauty that is in the Ithaca area? The parks are beautiful and filled with students when the nice weather rolls around. If she skis she may want to get a Greek Peak pass. I am sure lots of Ithaca kids go…I know the Cornell kids do. I personally love the area and the commons and college town are always a great place to go. If you have any specific questions or concerns you can Private Message me.

I would search for posts by hyperjulie (I think this is the right name), whose posts took Ithaca off my niece’s list.

Believe me if your daughter is at IC for Speech Pathology she won’t have too much time for outside interests! Seriously though, Ithaca College and Cornell kids interact as much as they wish to, my best friends were at Cornell and I was at IC. The kids can even take classes at the other school.
Because of the two schools there is a lot to do in the area. Momma-three is right that “winter” at Greek Peak which is pretty close. I was never bored while I was there.
