So...turns out my IB Math SL test conflicts with my AP US history test. So i'm gonna have to take the make-up test for APUSH. But my friends (including a couple seniors) have told me the make-up tests are EXTREMELY hard. Is this true? I already hate AP US History, but if it is harder, then i'm simply screwed..:(

bump…? anyone please answer?

I would say slightly harder as you are usually given an extra window to study - thus they expect more out of you. I always found the AP Chem FRQs on Form B harder than those on Form A.

Form B tests are not the make-up tests. Form B tests are given primarily internationally.

The make-up tests are yet a third form that are never released.

As to the difficulty level, I’ve never seen one, but I’ve had exactly one student take a make-up test in the past four years, and that student reported that it was about the same difficulty level (this was for AP Calculus AB).

I’ve heard reports that the make-up tests are more difficult in some subjects, but I think some of that relates to knowing what the actual FRQs were and then having FRQs that in many ways are substantially different (sometimes in context, sometimes in actual content being tested, etc.)

I took the macro, micro and english language make up tests. English was definitely graded harder and macro/micro had harder content

I think it varies by test though

Darn, I’m taking 2 make up tests

From my experience on CC, I usually hear that make-up tests are a bit harder content-wise… I heard it for AP Chem / Bio. However, I do not know if they’re curved more nicely.
