Are my chances for universities like MIT or Harvard good?

<p>It's a really long question, I understand but I urge to read it completely in order to come to a reasonable conclusion.
(A note up-front: I had actually pasted this question earlier, but I didn't get a substantially comprehensive response; also, I forgot that account's password and I don't have the link to the question either. Fortunately, I still have the question as it was posted in Yahoo answers as well. So, here is a modified version of that question.)
Let's begin the detailed tour of my question with some personal details:</p>

<p>Age- Almost 15
Grade - 10th
Academics - Always, in the final terms, A1 or A2 (i.e. A+ or A respectively).</p>

<p>School:
Have participated in some, but haven't achieved anything other than a participation certificate. And I'll be participating in lots of Olympiads and sports as much as I can and try to do my best.
House Prefect of 10th class and probably will be of 11th and 12th as well
Memeber of the MUN club (Most probably the future president)
Basketball player for the past year</p>

<p>Activities at home:
Drawing/Painting
Making gun models using paper mache
Play guitar fluently
Read lots of books
Would've attended about 5-6 MUN conferences in India</p>

<p>Programming:
QBASIC
Fundamentals of Python, took about 7 months to master, will go further into web programming, system programming and gui programming.</p>

<p>By the end of high school, will have learnt, for sure:
HTML
CSS
JavaScript
Php
Perl
C++ (whatever will be taught in 11th and 12th, mostly the fundamentals)
Java (all the fundamentals)
Would've created a "resume-like website"
And a basic search engine and a basic web browser</p>

<p>Youtube And Videos:
I will create a few in which I'll upload video tutorials of the programming/markup languages I lean
Created a video advertisement, on behalf of the 6th best law school in the country, which aired in the state's official news channel for about a week
Video editing experience in Sony Vegas of about an year
And I WILL have an year of video editing experience in Adobe After Effects</p>

<p>Languages:
Fluent in Hindi, English, currently learning French and German</p>

<p>My qeustions:
1) Is taking online courses worth the time for meeting some of the requirements for colleges like MIT?
2) Are my current activities, and considering what I would've accomplished by the end of high school, enough to get me to schools like MIT?
3) Also, considering that I am an international student, are there any scholarship programs which I can take in my country while I am in 10th or even when I get to 11th or 12th?
4) Are subject tests (SAT II) important for colleges like MIT/Harvard when applying for Computer Science And Programming?</p>

<p>Sorry for the long read and thanks, in advance. :)
P.S. I also would've earned a lot of badges in codecademy.com</p>

<p>You have personally identifying info in your links – not a good idea. You don’t need to post links to prove to us that you have these Coursera certificates.</p>

<p>You’ve given me a laundry list of things you have done. But I have no sense of who you are. What makes you tick? What are your passions? Why do you like CS? What do you want to accomplish? What are your dreams? (and no, attending MIT/Harvard doesn’t count) WHY are you doing the things you do? That’s what selective schools are going to want to see.</p>

<p>Also - don’t get your expectations up regarding MIT/Harvard. It is often thought in countries like yours that these are the only colleges in the US worth attending. There are PLENTY of elite, excellent schools in the US. Don’t get swayed just because you’ve heard more about those brand names than other brand names.</p>

<p>Good luck!</p>

Thanks for your answer. And I said colleges LIKE MIT or Harvard, not exactly Harvard or MIT. Yes, I am aware that there are other good colleges in the US too, but you must aim for the highest to get at least somewhere.
Also, the main reason why I do these things is because I love doing them.
Also, the thing you asked about my main passion, then yes, it’s Computer Science And Programming.
Thanks again for your answer. And if you or anyone could just let me know if my qualifications are ample to get accepted in a decent college, then it’d be really appreciated. Thanks. :)</p>
