I am currently a sophomore with a 4.2 gpa i am in all honors classes. Next year i am taking AP environmental , AP US history 2, and AP English Lit. Honors pre-calc, and Spanish 3. The rest are electives. I want to know if this is good enough for college.
Thanks
Ask yourself these questions:
- How many APs does my school offer?
- How many APs are my peers taking? (the smart ones)
- Can I push myself more than what I am doing now without stealing time away from EC's?
Ask yourself these 3 questions and the answer should be clear as day.
Colleges will look at your schedule relative to your peers.
If you live in Mississippi, You are practically a valedictorian with those courses, if you live in a more competitive area like Fairfax County- me - you would probably be at the bottom of your class, we need to take 5+ APs junior year just to stay average…
Skipping AP Lang?
^ some schools have it upside down with AP and senior year after AP lit Jr year.
Yes, that’s an excellent schedule. Keep all five core subjects senior year, see if you can double up in a subject of interest.
