I don't generally leave posts on the internet, so this will be nerve wracking... Oh well here I go...

First of all, I do pretty well academically. If all goes according to plan I will have an unweighted 4.0, and a weighted 4.83 at the time I am applying to colleges. I am taking 3 honors/AP classes Sophmore year, and I will take 6 honors/AP classes both Junior and Senior year. I am also a member of my school's Engineering and Design Academy (a kind of school within a school where we take special Engineering related electives.) I don't know what my SAT or ACT scores will look like yet, but I assume they will be okay.
The area where I am afraid I fall short is extracurriculars.

-Currently I am in Interact Club and CSF (California Scholarship Federation) which are mostly about community service.
-I play water polo, and plan to move up to varsity, junior and senior year
-I really like to write and have several completed novellas/short stories. And a novel on the way!
-I am a peer tutor for students at my school
And that's pretty much it
In the future I hope to:
-Join the school swim team
-Begin learning to play the fiddle
-take boxing lessons
-Spend a summer interning as a page in the California Senate
-Spend a summer volunteering with habitat for humanity
But looking at what other people are doing I'm afraid that's still not enough.

Am I allowed to use extracurriculars from middle school on my application? Because during middle school I did Odyssey of the Mind, A drama program, volunteered at a Cub Scout camp and played soccer.

Any suggestions for things I could add to my extracurriculars? I have an anxiety disorder, which makes it really hard for me to join clubs, or anything which involves the kind of situation where you feel obliged to socialize so any suggestions of extracurriculars that would not involve so much of that kind of situation?

I'm not quite decided where I want to go yet but some colleges that I'm considering are Northeastern, Stonehill College Boston University, Suffolk University. I want to major in Criminology.

To summarize: I'm strong academically, not so much in extracurriculars. Do you have any advice on what I could add to them to make me more competitive? Does doing well academically make up for bad extracurriculars? Also, do you have any suggestions for extracurriculars that involve less... socialization? Finally, is it okay to put things from middle school on a college app? Thanks so much!!! :)
