Are my relatives considered part of my 'household'?

<p>In the college applications, when it asks for total family income, it also asks for total size of parents' household. My family is consisted of 5 people - my parents, my two sisters, and I. I also have two aunts that live with me but they are not dependent on my parents. Are they still considered in the household size? And for total family income, that would just be my parents because my aunts are not expected to contribute towards my tuition, right?</p>

<p>Since your aunts are not dependent on your parents, omit them from household number. And they aren’t expected to contribute to your college either – leave their income out too. For this question, see them as “tenants” rather than “household”</p>
