Are Old Prep Books still useful? Urgent !

I found a guide on self-studying AP exams and the prep books that correspond to every subject. The problem is that the guide itself is dated back to '05-'06. And as the title says, are old prep books still useful?

And, if you have any suggestions for these AP exams I'll be taking in a class / self-studying for, please tell me. I'm almost near desperation.

To be taken in a class:

AP European History
AP US History
AP English Language
AP Spanish
AP Physics (maybe)
AP Gov't & Politics
AP English Literature
AP Calculus AB
AP Biology

To be self-studied

AP Art History (For sure - personal interest)
AP Computer Science (For sure - personal interest)
AP Environment Science (Not sure)
AP Comparative Gov't & Politics (For sure - personal interest)
AP Macro/Micro Econ. (For sure - personal interest)
AP Psychology (Not sure)
AP World History (In the middle)

THANK YOU!

Old prep books will be useful, but the for the courses that have been revamped or will be revamped in the near future they will be less so (e.g. Bio, some other ones that can be found at apcentral)
