Are Old SAT tests easier than the new SATs?

I've been doing the critical reading in the 10RS as additional practice for the upcoming test, and I've noticed the passages and questions are way easier than the tests in the online course which is supposed to be as close to the real test as possible. I've also done a few of the "level 5" math questions and they were amazingly easy compared to anything from the Bluebook. Could these tests be accurate or has ETS made the New SAT like 10x harder?

some of the online course passages and sentence completions are exactly the same as 10RS. my guess is that you did the online course quite some time ago but subconsciously you remember bits here and there so they seem easier on the 10RS.

for me it was the reverse effect. i did 10RS quite some time ago and now with the online course my scores are not very accurate because i literally zoom through the sentence completions and passages

Well, I just did the passages that were mutually exclusive to both and made sure that I didn’t do any passages I’ve already seen. But it’s wierd, I’m getting like -0’s or -1’s on 10RS and -3’s and -4’s on the online course.

indeed, i found both pretty similar in terms of difficulty with the exception of one ridiculously tough passage (can’t remember which) in 10RS. in fact i found OC easier.

is it me that finds 10RS alot harder?? cuz the lines questions seem to be jumpy…
