Are SAT AND ACT scores both required to be sent to CSUs?

I applied to 7 Cal States and it’s probably too late to even be inquiring about this but…are both test required to be sent in? I sent all my SAT scores 590 CR and 610 Math, but my ACT was low :frowning: I took the exam twice and got a 23 both times! Anyways, I heard from a friend that you can send it one test, not necessarily both, and well I believe my SAT scores are a bit better…So are both test required for admission? Or can i send in just my SAT?

in not it* my bad

CSUs will use whatever is higher. Based on https://secure.csumentor.edu/planning/high_school/cal_residents.asp , it looks like your 1200 SAT is equivalent to 27 ACT for CSU purposes. However, if your two ACT tries superscore to something higher than 27, then you may want to send them, since CSU will recalculate a superscore.

(superscore means taking the highest score of each section from multiple test dates of the test to recalculate a composite)

Did you report both SAT and ACT scores on your application? If so, then the CSU’s will want official score reports for both. If not, then no worries.
