Do I have to submit my ACT score to CSU?

I submitted my CSU applications two weeks ago and just took my ACT last week . On the section where it asked for test scores I put down the planned date for my ACT, as well as the scores from my SAT that I already took. I already sent in the SAT scores, do I still have to send the ACT scores once I get it since I indicated the date on the application?

If you stated on the application that you planned on taking the ACT, you should send the score. CSU’s superscore the ACT and SAT score, so you have nothing to lose by submitting them.

If the sole question you are asking is whether you are actually required to submit the ACT scores just because you mentioned you were taking the test, the answer is no as long as you have already submitted an SAT. Nevertheless, there is no harm in sending the test scores. If you submit both SAT and ACT to the CSU’s, they will use that test they believe is better for you to determine admission. Moreover there is no significant cost factor because all you need to do is send the ACT test to one CSU campus and all campuses to which you have applied will get a copy.
