Are SAT Subject tests redesigned too? May Scores only to be released Mid June!

CB does it again. Normally, subject test scores are released 2 1/2 weeks after testing. Not this spring. The May 7th sitting is schedule to be released ‘mid June’. They are unbelievable! Has anyone heard that these tests were redesigned? If not, why the friggen delay?

@guy24601 no

@suzyQ7 Why? Because the CB.

I am no expert in all things IT, but my assumption is that after all the scores - both for “simple” and Subject SAT - are uploaded into the personal CB accounts, the score reports are created in the cloud, and an access to them is granted to all the test takers (with a small number of exceptions) at once at ~5 am EST.

Introducing a different procedure just for the May and June Subject Tests and then rolling the changes back in the fall apparently is not deemed by the CB worthwhile the expenses and efforts.

The class of 2017 is screwed yet again.
What can we do about that - demonstrate in front of the CB headquarters?

Will these tests be redesigned altogether with the main SAT tests?

Why hasn’t ACT come up with subject tests?

@gcf101 that’s possible. It’s so annoying that they are holding these scores for as long as they are

@suzyQ7 Columbia doesn’t require subject tests if you are only submitting ACT.

My feeling exactly.
There is no change in Subject test, but they want to do ONE score release simplifying their work as @gcf101 describes.
I asked CB on twitter
“Will May 2016 SAT Subject test scores be available before June test? The Delivery Schedule shows Mid-June unlike past years.”
and got this response on February 4th. :-&

The new SAT 1 no longer penalizes kids for wrong answers. Does anyone knows if the subject tests are going to follow this same policy? Thanks

@bwaygirl1 No, there is still the penalty.

The fact that the CB moved the score lease of May exams after the June exam is ridiculous. I sent them emails and complained - maybe if more people did this than they would take notice! It’s totally unfair.
