It says that Lehigh recommends students to take two subject tests, but how much are they really weighed into admission decisions? Thanks
My daughter who will be a freshman at Lehigh in two weeks, took the ACTs and didn’t have to submit any subject tests.
If you wouldn’t mind disclosing it, what were her stats?
It doesn’t hurt, but it wouldn’t kill you if you don’t take any. When I applied I didn’t take any and I still got in. Ultimately, it doesn’t do much for you as long as you have a sound GPA as well as a good SAT score that fits within the range of the median Lehigh student.
33 ACT, 4.4 GPA, 7 APs, honors classes, NHS, 4 years varsity volleyball, Key Club, Peer Mentor, and other volunteer activities. She visited Lehigh twice and her love of the school was extremely apparent in her essays. Demonstrated interest is weighed heavily. Good luck.
My son is a freshman there and I recall when we attended Accepted Students Day they specifically said subject tests are not required. He didn’t take them and he was admitted and loving it. They really should change the website it is very misleading. If you have good sat/act scores and a good gpa and live local, visit more than once if you can. I know they do look at interest. My son also had several AP and Honors classes that he did well too
