Are talking SAT's during college looked down upon for transfer students?

Hi, I am currently attending CUNY Baruch college. As you can tell, I kind of messed up my HS years. My HS average was 83/100 and my SATs were 1120/1600 (650 math, 480 reading)

I want to pursue an undergraduate degree in finance or eco. I live in NYC, and the best possible school, obviously, is NYU Stern. And I am hearing Cornell is a good option as well.

I was wondering if retaking my SATs in a few months as a college student (while having a 3.8 GPA at Baruch) would give me a shot at Stern or Cornell.

I don't think it would hurt, but it's really not necessary. the schools will care more about how you're actually doing in college, than they will in how a test predicts you'll do in college.

HAHAH CLASSIC. I agree with vegan.

i never knew u could took SATs in college o_O

I never knew SATs could talk!

NYU requires all transfer applicants to submit SAT's....
But I'm with the above- how does that reflect better than how you're doing in college?

Actually, that's how many students who do poorly on the SAT/ACT standardized tests get into better colleges. Many will enrole in a community college for 1-2 semesters. Take 3-5 classes and get a 3.8-4.0gpa. Then when they all for a transfer to another school, they are generally only asked for a transcript. Later... Mike....

Some still will ask for your SATs, but it's definitely not as important. My brother got an associates degree at a community college and they didn't even ask for an SAT score. If he hadn't completed the degree, though, they might have.
