Are the majors on the application binding?

I’m on the common app right now and the application has me select majors. Are these binding? I’m having trouble finding out about this on their site.

I think they can pretty much expect that a very sizeable percentage of those applicants will change majors along the way somewhere.

But in some schools, I suspect that being accepted under one major may not mean that you’ll get into another more specialized program.
