<p>based on the number of chances threads, etc. ive seen on this board as compared to the others, it seems like a LOT of people are applying to duke. does duke traditionally receive more applicatns than the ivies?</p>
<p>Its usually not as popular as HYPS but above or around that of Dartmouth and Columbia...not sure what exact numbers are...doesn't have nearly as many New Englander applicants I don't think</p>
<p>Duke has grown substantially more popular in the last 5 years, I wouldn't be surprised if its admit rate hits Stanford's in another 5.</p>
<p>However, I think very popular colleges (Harvard for instance) have much more active boards.</p>
