I have been narrowing down my list of colleges to apply too, since i will be a applying in October. As an openly gay person, i want to go to a college who is gay friendly. Penn state was recently on a list of top 10 gay friendly colleges, however I have always been interested in being involved in greek life and was curious if there were any other gay-friendly fraternities at PSU besides Delta Lambda Phi. Most people have been telling me that its probably not the best idea to rush a fraternity due to my sexuality, but I have also met guys in fraternities who say its about being in the brotherhood, and that sexuality doesn't matter. So finally, which fraternities at Penn State are gay friendly, and which fraternities should i stay away from if I were to go there and rush?

UCSFMedStudent’s comment is offensive. He/She has made a similar offensive comment on another thread. As this user just signed up this morning, it would seem that his or her aim is to be offensive, rather than to contribute in a positive way to this forum.

Most of the social fraternities are very stereotypical and likely aren’t too open to accepting gays, however there are gay people in honors fraternities. You could check out Phi Sigma Pi

This thread is from last summer. UCSFMedStudent is probably long gone.
