I was wondering if there are any scholarships out there that give out money just forgood standardized tests. My ACT is really high (32) but my GPA isn't (3.2 UW). Any chance I can still pick up some outside scholarship $$ just for having good ACT scores?

I am not how many other schools do this, but IU gives automatic scholarships for hitting certain test scores. I believe yours would qualify you for $9000/year, not sure if there is a GPA requirement though

I think that the thing they sent me in the mail says that there is one. Never know, however.

If by "outside scholarships," you mean not tied to a particular school, the answer is no. Many lower (third- or fourth-) tier publics do give such automatic scholarships, though.

if you're referring to college-sponsored merit aid, a google search just using scholarship ACT=32 will already return you some hits (one of them actually brings you to CC thread). If you play around with the search parameters, substituting merit for scholarship, or ACT=31 or ACT>31, or other permutations, you should get some more possibilities. I agree with keilexandra that some lower-tier schools have merit programs for these conditions. it's just a matter of finding them, and there are threads here in cc that also touch on them. good luck knights.
