Are there any scholarship oppurtunites for a National Merit Finalist student?

In 2013, I was awarded with national merit finalist. Right now, I go to UT Austin. This has been the biggest mistake of my entire life. I cannot even begin to put into the words the depression and regret I have suffered here. I want out. So badly. I can’t take another year of this. I truly can’t

I remember back in 2013, OU came to me with this big full ride opportunity for national merit, and I didn’t take it. I wish so often that I could go back and make a different decision.

Does anyone have any stories of being a transfer student with national merit standing and getting a scholarship for it? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you. I want to transfer out of here, and I was hoping somewhere would give me a scholarship for national merit, but I don’t know if that’s possible Please, any advice.

Transfer scholarships are based on your college record. High school no longer matters. Also transfer scholarships are generally not nearly as common or valuable as the ones for freshmen.

No, you can’t get the NMF offer now. You can’t even likely get big merit offers anywhere.

What do you dislike about UT? I can’t imagine that you’d like OU better…it’s just another big state flagship.

Look at what is making you happy/unhappy. Some of the things you can change and adapt. Some you cannot. UT is a great school. If you provide more information, perhaps others here can provide you with information and suggestions.
