<p>For BAMM complex on Busch, are there heaters in each dorm room? I checked the facility description several times, and it only says that the rooms are "Air cooled." Yeah, that's nice, but are they also heated during winter when it's sub 20 degrees outside? Or should I bring an electric heater?</p>
<p>Also, if there ARE heaters and air conditioners in each room, can students turn them on or off at their leisure?</p>
<p>Yes, there is heating. The same unit provides AC for the first month of school and the last few weeks. Most of the time, your room will be heated.</p>
<p>The AC tended to make the room really cold, and the heater made it really warm. I wore shorts and t-shirts in the dorm in winter, that’s how warm it is. You can’t control whether you want AC or heating, housing turns off the AC and turns on the heating after like the first month. We didn’t get AC again until a few weeks before moving out, so the dorm got kind of hot. You can control the temperature, though.</p>
<p>I wouldn’t recommend bringing a space heater, they are a huge fire hazard and probably aren’t allowed anyway.</p>
