<p>Way back in the dark ages, there was ‘business calculus’ pre-req for the business school and regular calculus for other majors (math, science, etc.) The business class was much easier. There were also stat requirements.
Like anything, you may never use the higher-level math in your job, but it is a req to get the degree.</p>
