<p>I'm not even sure if I can get Stafford + Perkins Loans w/o a parent, and getting a PLUS Loan is almost completely out of the question.</p>

<p>Stafford and Perkins loans don’t require a parent signature or a cosigner. A dependent freshman is eligible for $5500 in Stafford loans. Perkins loans are limited funding so whether you can get one depend on if your school has Perkins loans (some do not) and on their criteria for awarding them.</p>
<p>PLUS loans are parent loans for undergrads students. Graduate students and professional students can also borrow them themselves.</p>
<p>Private loans will generally require a cosigner with a good credit history.</p>
