Are there supplemental essays required for Penn State (UP)?

I don’t see anything on the Common App, but another website says that Penn State requires 2 additional 500 word essays for 2018/2019.

I am also baffled by this. I may call the admissions office tomorrow and find out

My son applied through the Penn State app. One personal statement is optional.

@opallady It was on the CollegeVine website for 2018/2019. However, my son submitted his Penn State application through the Common App a couple of days ago without needing to add any supplements so maybe CollegeVine is just wrong.
