Are these ECs good enough for UCLA, USC, etc?

Hey guys, I'm seriously freaking out. I'm a senior, so I'm already applying to college (ahhh). I am mostly looking at top California schools like UCLA, Pomona College, USC, etc., but not like Stanford level or anything. I have excellent grades (3rd in my class) and a 33 ACT score, so I'm definitely set there. However, I am really worried about my extracurriculars. I've been involved in a few things, but most of them I've only been doing since junior year, and I didn't like cure cancer or anything... Although I haven't been doing a lot of my ECs for very long, they are all very important to me. I would love to do something with biology or sports medicine in the future, and I love helping people.

Anyway, here are my ECs. Tell me what you guys think.

Sports Medicine Team- 2 years. Treat athletic injuries and participate in competitions.
Summer Camp- CIT for 2 years, Paid Counselor for 2 years.
Special Olympics Club- 2 years. Secretary in 11th and Treasurer in 12th. Volunteer and fundraise for Special Olympics.
School Service Club- 2 years (you can't join as a freshman or sophomore). Was on the Recruitment/Interview Committee for 11th.
Tutoring- 4 years.

I've had a few short-term ECs, but I don't think they are really worth mentioning on a college app.

Maybe I'm overreacting, but it's just really stressing me out.

bump bump anyone? Any opinion is appreciated :)

Looks okay. Nothing “significant” and nothing that especially shines out, but as long as your EC’s show your passion. You also have to remember that there will be a lot of kids without any EC’s… and then there will be those few who seem to have more EC’s than 5 people combined… lol.

Your ECs look fine to me. Like kevin12345 said, nothing that stands out, but nothing bad either. I like how they’re all related in some way, either through sports or helping people. You could probably talk about that in your essay, and connect all your EC’s together. I know that’s a lot better than just having a bunch of random ones that are just there. And you’re not the only stressing out about senior year. :)

You’re a senior. Your ECs are what they are; there’s nothing you can do to change the past so why “freak out”? Are they spectacular? No. Are they the worst ever seen ? No. Being third in your class and having a 33 ACT is far more important than anything else you have going. Control what you can; nailing the essays and getting good recommendations will have bigger impacts than worrying about what can’t be undone.

Okay thank you guys so much! It’s just so hard to believe that its finally OUR turn… ahhh. Kevin12345 and sorange12, yes, exactly! I know I didn’t cure cancer, but my ECs definitely show what I’m passionate about. And vinceh, that’s a really good point. My recs will be amazing and I’m starting to focus on the essays, so I’ll make sure that they’re as good as they can be. :)
