Rate a Juniors EC's

<p>I know they suck, but I decided to start posting on CC, and taking advice from all of you "pros"</p>

<p>(please move if this is wrong thread)</p>

<p>I am only applying to UC's so don't judge me with ivy standards =)
and I want you to rate my Extra Curriculars for all of them please</p>

<p>especially UCB, UCLA, and UCSD (My dream school)
If I put 12th grade it means most likely</p>

<p>Volunteer Library Computer Technician (9 - Summer) left due to moving out of state</p>

<p>Soccer (9) Regional Champions</p>

<p>Swimming League (9 summer) (1st place ribbons)</p>

<p>LEO Club- (10, 11, 12) many volunteer hours</p>

<p>Astronomy Club (10, 11-treasurer, 12 - Co- President(and founder because it will be abolished after this year))</p>

<p>Philosophy Club (11, 12- Vice President)</p>

<p>Math Team Summer Program (10 - summer)</p>

<p>Track and Field (10) - probably won't list</p>

<p>Tutor Volunteer Association (many hours) (11, 12 (some officer position))</p>

<p>California Scholarship Federation (10, 11, 12) Gold Seal Graduate</p>

<p>NHS (11, 12)</p>

<p>Science Olympiad (12 maybe)</p>

<p>Advanced Robotics Team (we compete at JPL etc.) (12)</p>

<p>Work Experience:
Tutor for pay (11, 12)</p>

<p>Personal
Self taught Electric guitarist
Computer Programming etc.
Weightlifting etc. lol</p>

<p>Please rate for UCB, UCLA and UCSD</p>

<p>and please give me suggestions on how I can improve my EC's
I know that scores and GPA are more important though...</p>

<p>These are really strong ECs, with leadership in some of them. I just feel like you’re all over the place, and should show some type of passion or interest.</p>

<p>I agree - while you have a great variety of great ECs, it almost looks like you’re trying to throw together as many ECs as possible to look college-friendly (not saying that that’s the case, just that it may come across like that). Try to participate in as many related things as possible in your field of interest in the time you have remaining, and you have a good shot.</p>
