Hi guys! So next week, we’ll be getting our course cards for next year and I’ve been thinking about what I’m going to take, and even throughout the rest of high school. I’m a freshman right now. I want to get into a very good college (I would like to go to vanderbilt). I also want to be a biochemist when I grow up.Just as a note, I got staight A’s in the first semester of this year.
I have taking/am taking:
Middle school- I took Spanish I and II, Algebra I Hon, and Geometry Hon.
Freshman- I took HOPE online (on Florida virtual school), and I am currently taking chemistry hon online. In school, I’m taking Biology Hon, Algebra II Hon, English I Hon, AP Human Geography, Debate I Hon, Band, and Spanish III Hon
So, this is what I’m thinking next year, as a sophmore: Pre-Cal Hon, AP Bio, AP World, Debate Hon, Band, English II Hon, Spanish IV Hon. Also, I want to take AP Computer Science online on FLVS.
and as a junior: AP Calc AB, AP Chem, AP Spanish Lang, AP English Lang, AP US Hist, Band Hon, and Debate Hon. And I want to take AP Microeconomics online.
And as a senior: AP Calc BC, AP Physics, AP Engish Lit, AP US Gov, AP Macroeconomics, Band Hon, and Debate Hon.
Also, I’ve done about 30 service hours so far and plan to do at least 150-200 (a lot during the summer). I do marching band and debate as my main extracuriculars, and I plan on joining National Spanish honors society next year, and national honors society junior year. With debate, after I compete enough, I will become a member of the national forensic league, which is a honors society.
So overall, do you think that as long as I maintain mostly A’s throughout this, will I be able to get into a good college, like Harvard, Yale, Vanderbilt, Stanford, or UC Berkley (those are my top 5)? Thank you so much!
