<p>Yes, I have relatively equivalent ECs and am a leader in every one I participate in.</p>
<p>I’m not trying to brag, I’m just pointing out that it’s possible and the OP needs to realize that. Because that’s who the competition is at top schools. In fact, there are people with much better ECs than me.</p>
<p>I have similar EC’s as well, not to brag, but probably more pretigious.</p>

<p>Yes, the competition is brutal these days. Yet I think some of the posters here miss the point of these ECs: Adcoms don’t compare lists of ECs between students and reward the best ones with admission; rather they look for those students who have shown leadership and a spark of innovation, because it is exactly those students who will make campus life so much more appealing. Adcoms are looking for students who they KNOW will be involved in campus activities, because it’s in their very bones to do so.</p>
