Granted Im not a top student. 2.6 gpa and a 1190/1600 sat. Will my Ec's Help me or hurt me?

they can help, but btw your conferences dont really count as an EC...

I don't see why they wouldn't? I traveled to get there during the school year. And it is 3 days long.

idk i did a few too, but they arent considered an EC, its a one time deal, idk i asked an admission counselor and she said not really

If you are using the common app, it can (granted I would put it last). Under the EC's for the common app it also includes activities and volunteering.

I wouldn't include the conferences as EC's either.

You should make a separate heading for: Employment and Work Experiences. Then include the soccer reffing and summer job under that heading. Work is not considered an EC.

You can also make a separate heading for Leadership: list the conferences here.

Make a heading for: Community Service: list the camp counselor experience here.

COMMUNITY SERVICE: (just an example)
June 2006-Camp Counselor at a one week overnight camp for disadvantaged children.
June 2007-- ""
June 2008-- ""

Oh if this is for a RESUME def make a different section. Otherwise i still think its ok.

Your extracurricular activities are pretty good, and they're solid enough to complement an otherwise excellent application. Unfortunately, I don't know if your GPA and SAT score will be enough for all of your "dream schools."
