<p>No because some use butter, lard, sugar (which is not always vegan), etc. Pillsbury Crescent rolls are vegan, regular biscuits aren’t. We have to closely look at store brought breads, bagels, etc. to make sure they are vegan. Welcome to my world!!</p>

OP, I agree with everyone else, they’re rather risky. I probably wouldn’t submit them - how they are received is far too dependent on the person reading them, and even the mood of the person reading them. If I were the adcom, I would find it humorous, but, as evidenced by the many other people who have responded here, that reaction doesn’t seem to be universal.
