I took AP BIO in my junior year and got a 5 on the AP test. I will take the sat ii bio in october and am studying from the kaplan and barron books. My question is do I need to know the information on eyes, ears, bones, geologic time periods, and other weird topics that my AP teacher did not cover for the sat ii test?

You do not need to know anatomy very deeply for the test. At most, you might need to know, say, the role of the pancreas in endocrine/exocrine systems, or how water reabsorption works in the kidneys. I don't think any AP Biology class goes without any of this kind of stuff.

Having to determine the differences between aqueous vs. vitreous humor? Knowing the femur from your tibia? Probably not so important.

And I don't think I came across any questions about geological time periods.

has anyone used the Barron's prep book for the SAT II Bio? if so, have you found it useful or too much/too little information covered?

the ap test is VERY different from the SAT test. The SAT's are much more difficult (IMO). the test prep books didnt help me out very much. i think i used barrons - the practice test I did turned out to be an accurate prediction of my score though -.-
