sat 2 bio dilemma, taking may test!

k here's the deal,

I'm taking the sat 2 bio on the may test. So far, the only topics i haven't done yet are evolution adn diversity, organismal bio (anatomy), and ecology. When i say i haven't done them, I've never touched ecology and evolution (i know most of anatomy since i take anatomy at school as a seperate class). i don't know anything about plant or animal anatomy (other than human anatomy). Is it possible to self study and master these topics by the may exam?

Yeah. You can.

yes, easily. Whip out your prep book my friend.

Hm, I'm taking the SAT II also. How would you compare the SAT II to the Bio AP?

the sat2bio isn't as complex in the questions it asks. I've found the sat2 to be harder for me because I'm so used to the ap bio type Q's

Hm, celebrian25: did you end up scoring well after going through AP bio?

generally ap bio students tend to do better for one reason only, you're stimutaneously prepping for the AP test. Many of the questions are the same, they're asked differently though. It's pretty obvious just by taking a practice test

Asked differently? As in: diluted to a certain extent--in other words, easier?

Oh, and any knowledge of the US SAT II?

it's not easier, just different.

here's an example

ap bio Q:The nucleoleus functions in the production of:
a. golgi apparatus
b.microtubules
c.mitochondria
d.ribosomes
e.endoplasmic reticulum

sat2bio Q:
All of the following are mammals except:
a.porpoise
b.shark
c.whale
d.walrus
e.seal

I'm taking both US and Bio. Don't worry Ivy League or bust. I'm sure you can "bust" out an 800 on both. They are really very very easy. So straightforward...

what are those answers for the questions you posted celebrian?

AP question: D
SAT II bio: B

thx for the replies. How's sparknotes for a prep book?

Yes, I have the same question. Does anyone know if sparknotes will suffice for a prep book?

Or is reading through Campbell's better?

does cliffnotes for AP also work well for SATII?

so does neone know whether sparknotes sat 2 bio will be enuf?
