I’ve never heard of taking 2 years of US History.

At my school it’s mostly like this:

9: World History Honors [mandatory]
10: AP Euro or AP World or AP Human Geo (lulz)
11: US History (AP or Honors) + AP Psych (sometimes)
12: AP Macro/AP Gov’t + AP Psych (sometimes)

I had/have the same mentally. AP Euro was the most interesting class I’ve ever taken.

Going from that to AP US History SUCKED. A lot. US History is so boring (minus the time period from the Gilded Age/Industrial Revolution to around the 1960s).

And it doesn’t help that the US only has a meager 200 years or so of history behind it. They really stretch the material paper thin and it gets so monotonous.

I feel like they should look into an Asian history AP. The culture is a lot richer than the United States.
