Are they somewhat favorable toward low-incomes or?

I am a questbridge non-finalist, and Amherst sent me a email saying I can apply for free. Do you think I should apply? I know the application fee is waived, but sending scores will cost me some money. Are they really showing some sympathy toward low-income family, or are they just doing it to make the school look better?

Isn't there a way to have the fee associated with your test scores waived as well? And even if not, if your numbers fall within their range, I would say yes, apply. Even if low, my theory is that SOMEONE has to be in the bottom 25%. And if you're a great test taker and made the most of HS.. well, that's good too!!

Good luck!
