I really want a "traditional" dorm experience and I heard the units are really social and fun. My top 3 choices would be unit doubles and I am thinking of putting my bottom two as unit triples. Some people have advised me against this. What's your take?

Certainly a double is better, but a triple won't make your experience less fun. And if you are lucky, you will make 2 great friends instead of one.

Are you going to be in the soccer team sarah? Great atmosphere, a lot of them live together in houses off-campus.

I was in a unit triple my first year. Besides the decreased allotment of personal space (which depends more on how much crud you and your roommates have than the fact that there're three people), it was as "normal" a living arrangement as living in a double.

One plus is that you can split your social interaction, which makes for a slightly healthier situation, maybe; one extra person helps with cabin fever halfway through the year. That said, doubles have their share of perks.

No, I won't be on the intercollegiate team- just play recreationally. Thanx for the feedback! My friend was in a triple and had a positive experience, but some people have warned me against it. It's nice to hear some good things! :)

I think that a triple is liveable.

What do you imagine a "traditional" dorm experience is?

The triple's not cramped at all, it's fine, and you get to know two people rather than just one :D

Traditional: residence halls, not suite style living
